Request-for-Application (RFA)

Two definitions:
1. Often used in non-competitive grant programs, seeking information from a grantee that usually is entitled to receive funds according to a demographic formula.
2. Formal announcement of an opportunity to apply for a grant. An RFA specifies the requirements for applying for the grant. RFAs are issued by governments and foundations.
